Within our Benelux cluster, we are looking for a Category Operations Manager for Business Personal Systems with a clear focus to drive our 4P business plan for the SMB market, together with our channel sales team.
In this position, you are based, preferably in our Netherlands office, in Amstelveen, close to our 4P SMB Lead category manager.
While you are not directly responsible of products, you contribute and implement the yearly plan to expand our footprint in this market for the Benelux cluster with a focus on our commercial notebooks, desktops and chromebooks.
Fast execution based on data insights, clear communication and operational skills, time management/planning and interlock with category, channel and distribution team are the key to your success in this position.
Your day-to-day challenges would range from: market and competition analysis of our indirect business, defining the portfolio with the right price positioning for our line-up, designing promotion plans based on facts, feedback and insights, maintaining key platforms up to date for our channel community, supporting sales with pricing activities and supporting the cluster category manager in business and product management planning.
Responsibilities:
Analyze evolution market, spot growth opportunities, competitive threats & act on them;
Contribute to the BPS 4P SMB category business plan & execution, together with the SMB category lead and channel/distribution team;
Define and maintain the products portfolio based on data insights in terms of specifications and pricing, monitor inventory/aging/… based on sell-out activities;
Define and write the quarterly promo planning and briefing, in close collaboration with sales & marketing;
Ensure operational excellence (HP essentials update and enhancements, pricing update via monthly and ad-hoc OPG process, prepare TBM presentation & meeting minutes);
Get a taste of category management by supporting the Benelux Category manager in business, product and team planning.
What we wish for you to bring to the role:
Education and Experience
University or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Finance, Business Administration, International Business or similar;
2-5 years of professional experience in Consultancy, Marketing and Business Planning;
Experience in a business analyst role and/or at distribution/channel organization is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical and reporting skills, capacity to synthesize and draw conclusions in a very dynamic environment and team;
Very good time and business planning capabilities, strong focus on getting things done (operations oriented);
Good communication and writing skills to highlight products values into understandable words;
Passion for products, IT and channel/distribution areas;
Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint (advanced level), PowerBI and Thoughspot are valued;
Solution oriented, demonstrates self-initiative, capacity to take ownership and work independently;
Languages: Fluency in Dutch and English.
