Position Summary...

The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of operations within a distribution center, ensuring strong performance across safety, quality, productivity, service, and financial results. This role sets strategic direction for the facility, leads and develops a high‑performing leadership team, and ensures consistent execution of business plans in a complex operational environment.

The General Manager partners closely with associates, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver operational excellence while upholding Walmart’s values and commitment to customers, associates, and the community.

What You’ll Do

Lead and execute the facility business plan to achieve operational goals related to production, quality, safety, and service
Manage staffing and labor planning to meet workload and performance demands
Own financial performance by managing budgets, expenses, asset utilization, and business reporting
Ensure compliance with logistics, safety, and quality standards across the facility
Lead, coach, and develop leaders and associates; oversee hiring, promotion, performance management, and succession planning
Investigate and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using fact‑based decision making
Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new processes and technologies
Serve as a community and company ambassador through local engagement and company‑sponsored initiatives

The annual salary range for this position is $180,000.00 - $270,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 3 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Assistant General Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 5 years experience in a senior management role as an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
