As the Senior Commercial Insights & Incentives Risk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the compliance and contractual obligations associated with our media partnerships and advertiser relationships within Kroger Precision Marketing. Your role will encompass the entire lifecycle of vendor and advertiser contracts, ensuring they align with company policies and compliance requirements while fostering relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. You will act as a key advisor and subject matter expert on insights, and loyalty products, promoting best practices and maintaining regulatory adherence

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Vendor Contract Redline Management:
      • Manage the lifecycle of vendor contracts, including initiation, execution, storage, distribution, renewal, and termination.
      • Work with appropriate cross-functional stakeholders to review contract language and ensure it aligns with our current/future products and capabilities
      • Ensure compliance with company policies throughout the contract process.
      • Support smaller renewals and technology cost assessments related to vendor contracts.
    • Advertiser Contract Redline Management:
      • Serve as the primary contact for legal inquiries and redline management involving advertiser contracts, NDAs, and insertion orders (IOs).
      • Manage communications and reminders to Kroger legal teams.
      • Provide business-to-business call interpretations to vendors and clients.
      • Oversee platform assessments from advertisers pertaining to technological builds and service offerings.
    • Compliance Champions:
      • Collaborate with Kroger compliance teams to support policy documentation and ongoing education at 84.51.
      • Assist product teams in maintaining a compliant technology infrastructure.
      • Lead the application and enforcement of compliance rules within internal teams, addressing guideline interpretation questions from product, sales, and account teams.
    • End-to-End Understanding:
      • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for insights & loyalty products.
      • Develop a comprehensive understanding usage of products, ensuring seamless interface with internal teams.
    • WNS IO Management:
      • Take ownership of feedback processes and general inquiries related to WNS on client briefs and insertion orders.
      • Conduct final reviews of client documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Media, Marketing or a related field;
    • Strong understanding of loyalty & insights programs, advertiser contract processes, and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal and contractual issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
    • Proven experience working collaboratively with legal teams and internal departments.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in contract management software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
    • The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong legal acumen, ensuring that all media and advertising activities are conducted within established guidelines and in alignment with organizational goals.

  • The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest.  Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.
