We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Digital Transformation Engineer to be responsible for leading or contributing to detailed design of process automation control systems projects focused on data connectivity.
This includes the following:
- Defining architecture requirements for all layers (PLC/SCADA/Historian/Data Ops Software’s/Enterprise Analytics and Tracking Softwares)
- Developing detailed software design specifications
- Configuration of SCADA applications/Historians/Databases/Data Ops Software’s
- Commissioning, validation, and support of the designed solutions
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead/work on projects from concept through commissioning phases.
You Will:
- Develop and implement solutions using Unified Namespace technologies (Ignition, Highbyte, HiveMQ, etc.).
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python, C#, and/or javascript for automation and integration tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT and OT systems.
- Understand and work with data structures across various data sources (PLCs, Flat Files, Relational Databases, MES Systems, etc) to enable businesses better access and use of their data.
- Provide technical leadership and support for project implementation, testing, and startup.
- Maintain and update project documentation and provide regular status updates to management and stakeholders.
- Provide application/control systems design and development for systems of varying complexity.
- Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements.
- Modify program/system logic involving multiple systems and subsystems.
- Develop proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, PCs, DCS.
- Work successfully in a team environment; focused strongly on customer service and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a high level of diligence for the documentation and planning aspects of engineering in a regulated environment.
You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, or C#.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and data structures.
- Strong understanding of Unified Namespace technologies and their use cases.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a hybrid IT/OT environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and an understanding of process controls.
- PLC programming exposure and willingness to grow in that area
- Working knowledge of control system networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.).
- Understanding of Biopharmaceutical processes, GMP, and validation.

Salary range: 100,000 - 130,000
