Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a proven track record in delivering scalable cloud-native data pipelines, microservices, and AI-driven workflow orchestration to enable advanced analytics and intelligent automation. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines and microservices (GCP preferred; Azure/AWS acceptable) 

  • Build and optimize data ingestion, integration, and processing frameworks across diverse structured and unstructured data sources 

  • Develop Python-based APIs (Flask/FastAPI) to enable seamless data access, model integration, and service orchestration 

  • Implement advanced SQL-based analytics and transformations in BigQuery or other cloud data warehouse platforms 

  • Architect, deploy, and manage AI/agentic workflows to support intelligent automation and decisioning 

  • Orchestrate AI-driven pipelines integrating LLMs, agents, and data services for end-to-end workflow automation 

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of data operations using AI-powered orchestration and monitoring 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, ML, and Product) to deliver scalable, secure, and production-grade AI-enabled data solutions. 

  • Ensure best practices in data engineering and AI systems, including code quality, testing, observability, and documentation. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in cloud environments 

  • Proficiency in Python, with experience in Flask or FastAPI for API development 

  • Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native architectures (GCP preferred, Azure/AWS acceptable) 

  • Knowledge of data ingestion and integration patterns 

  • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and pipeline development 

  • Experience working with AI-based workflows 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dataflow 

  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering 

  • Experience with other cloud services (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue). 

  • AI assisted Development with Copilot, Cursor AI, or Claude Code and skills in general 


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required 

  • Master’s degree with a focus on data, AI, or advanced analytics preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
