We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to be part of an innovative, motivated, fast paced team focused on driving data analytic initiatives to support and optimize business performance.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in performing data analysis, translating data into actionable insights, leveraging advanced reporting tools to drive informed decision-making by providing clear performance metrics and visualizations. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical aspects of our business.

You will be responsible for creating and delivering performance metrics, data reporting solutions and visualizations that are consumed by a wide internal audience.

Responsibilities

Business Insights

  • Assess business performance and ensure business and operational goals are being met, identifying trends, patterns, and insights within data.
  • Provide actionable insights internally to drive informed decision-making and improve business strategies.
  • Collaborate with management stakeholders to understand and meet business needs, providing solution and options internally.

Data Analysis and Visualization

  • Transform complex data into internal consumable and interactive dashboards and metrics.
  • Design and develop data models that align with business requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of data presented internally in dashboards.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced understanding of database structures, query optimizations, ETL development
  • Experience automating analytics tasks.
  • Experience with data modeling, analysis, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in using business intelligence tool, Power BI or Tableau preferred, for data exploration, data management, performance metric creation.
  • Own data integrity, tool maintenance, and reporting quality.

Communication and Training

  • Effectively convey complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate and bridge gaps between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Train internal users, external technical teams, and leaders on dashboard and tool usage; assist in troubleshooting.

Skills and Attributes

  • Start-up, consulting, or other demonstrated experience in high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong project management and self-directed prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines and with multiple levels of management.
  • Experience working with customer operations teams and tools (e.g. ticketing, account management, communications tools).

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, business operations or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e. Finance, Business, Computer Science).
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Snowflake, SQL), Power BI tools (DAX, Power Query) or Tableau preferred. Knowledge of Data Science, Python, a plus.
  • Experience in BI visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and/or Power PI to manipulate and summarize large volumes of data using formulas, pivot tables, power pivots.
  • SQL proficiency and experience in working with data warehouse.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and methodologies is a plus.
