We are looking for a candidate who has a sales/real estate background with 2-4 years of experience to join the MLS team in the Acquisitions Department. You will be working on the buy-side acquisitions platform in the single-family residential real estate sector, with a focus on homes that are listed on the MLS. You will work under the supervision of the Acquisitions Leadership, assisting in a variety of functions with the goal of increasing single-family rental acquisitions while supporting our brand 

The Real Estate Acquisitions Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining Main Street Renewal's brand awareness in their assigned territory, perform functions of a buyer’s agent in local transactions, and establish relationships with local real estate professionals. The Specialist will manage the marketing certification process which includes documenting, reviewing, resolving, and follow-up with Construction and Renovation teams if a home fails inspection. 

Qualifications:  

  • The ideal candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in real estate, sales, or acquisitions.
  • An undergraduate degree is required.
  • Real estate license or willing to get one within six months.  
  • Demonstrates strong self-motivation and accountability, capable of setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and achieving results 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with an emphasis on showcasing personability through phone, email, and text messaging 
  • Familiarity with evaluating performance risks for SFR Purchases to ensure sound decision-making 
  • Proficient in navigating discussions, identifying win-win solutions, and securing favorable outcomes  
  • Maintains a growth mindset, embraces new challenges, and actively seeks opportunities for professional development and self-improvement 
  • Comfortable talking on the phone 
  • Preferably possesses the necessary licensure and has a proven track record in real estate, with insights into local property trends, market conditions, and client demographics 
  • Demonstrates success in developing long-term client relationships and driving repeat business through exceptional service 
  • Comprehensive understanding of all phases of a real estate deal, including listing, marketing, negotiations, contracts, and closing 
  • Brings enthusiasm and passion to the role, proactively engages with clients, and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments 
  • Skilled in multitasking, maintaining clear documentation, and staying on top of deadlines across multiple deals simultaneously 
  • Comfortable using tools like Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint to create reports, manage schedules, and communicate professionally 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Manage the success of our Acquistions strategy and communicate our successes and opportunities to key stakeholders across the platform 
  • Obtain multiple Real Estate licenses and maintain active licensure  
  • Maintain the Brokerage reputation by providing excellent customer service in every transaction  
  • Work with leadership to develop strategies in an environment that is constantly changing 
  • Be accountable for delivering weekly and monthly results which will have a direct impact on the production of our business 
  • Weekend staffing may be necessary
