You will provide subject matter expertise in relation to the identification, pursuit, management, and growth of business within the Weapons Domain. Reporting to the Head of Requirements & Capability, this role will be responsible for providing strategic direction and advice to the Raytheon Australia Leadership team and leading bid / pursuit teams in the identification, shaping, resourcing, bidding and offering solutions to customer needs, and the development of profitable opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the Domain strategy in order to enable growth in line with the Company’s Long-Range Plan.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders in the relevant Domain in support of specific Captures as defined by the approved Campaign Strategy.
  • Maintain and share a comprehensive Domain customer map and Domain customer contact plan.
  • Exercise stewardship of Domain relationship management up-to and including 3-star uniformed personnel and Senior Executive Service band 3 / Deputy Secretary (SES3 / DEPSEC)
  • Understand and where possible influence the budget planning cycle for the Domain in order to ensure funding is available for each acquisition in which the company has an interest.
  • Contribute to the development of any Intellectual Property (IP) requirements including IP management and Australian Industry Capability (AIC) development as directed.
  • Provide support and assistance to capture managers and business development leads in the implementation of campaign strategies and solicitation of responses to meet Domain-specific customer requirement.
  • Travel may be required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A Degree in Bachelor of Business, Project Management, or Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling capture artefacts in compliance with company policy and guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong and valuable relationships and build rapport with both internal and external customers and associates.
  • Ability to manage and build key business relationships, identify key customers and stakeholders within networks, and effectively establish and maintain ongoing networks / relationships.
  • Ability to conduct complex negotiations.
  • Excellent business acumen to define operational concepts in consultation with functional stakeholders, identify key concepts from customer documentation, and contribute to the strategy to convert them to a competitive solution for the customer and to the development of alternative solutions as required.
