What you will do:

We are seeking an experienced Materials Buyer Planner to join our growing team. As a Buyer Planner for our Louisville Plant, you will be responsible for the materials plan and execution for all new products, as well as the material depletion plan for all sunset products. This will involve working with the site materials and production teams to ensure minimal obsolete inventory impact from sunset products, and on-time delivery to the product launch schedule for new products. Daily activities include ordering for inventory and expense, reviewing invoices, and communicating with vendors for quotes and lead times.

How you will do it:

  • Work with management to develop a robust project plan for each specific new product introduction as it relates to the procurement, and execution of the materials through the operation.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels of raw and finished goods for incoming and exiting products.
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing, Production Schedulers, Quality to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate speedy and accurate parts availability to meet customer demands.
  • Maintains Replenishment reports to assure a smooth flow of materials to the Manufacturing floor and enable Operational efficiency.
  • Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments.
  • Operates within budget and contributes to the overall need for being cost competitive.

What we look for:

Required:

  • Associates degree or equivalent years of experience and 3 years of directly applicable, or a combination or education and experience.
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with managing suppliers

Preferred:

  • Ariba experience
  • Experience with inventory forecasting, developing supplier schedules and reducing scheduling variances.
