We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer Senior to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers.
You must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively.
What you will be doing:
Design, install, configure, and maintain Windows Server systems, Storage, Backup, and VMWare clusters in support of enterprise needs
Plan and achieve goals for effective data center and operating system implementation
Provide technical consulting in the selection and purchase of hardware and software systems
Ensure the secure and effective operation of computing systems through compliance with ORNL procedures and IT Internal Operating Procedures
Skilled in sys penetration/elevating privileges via Hacker Methodology in 94 hours of instruction and training
Mastered Industrial Control Sys lessons; gained skills to protect critical infrastructure--ready to defend national power grid
Administer, configure, install, integrate, test, and troubleshoot Network devices
Coordinates installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and evaluates network system tools and peripherals
Customer service through troubleshooting errors and problem solving with critical infrastructure and data
Implement system changes including research and testing
Joint Operations Planning Process utilization for Cyber Operations
Windows System Engineering and Administration
Utilize Active Directory suite of tools extensively
Group policy and registry leveraged to implement Security Technical Implementation guides
Scripting with PowerShell and other tools
Other items of Familiarity:
JAVA, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Powershell, command prompt, MAC terminal, script writing and editing
VMware, Microsoft teams, Active directory administration, Filelocator pro, BCwipe, Encase, p2 Commander, Sysco Routing and Switching, Kali Linux, Wireshark, Metasploit, John the Ripper, SCCM, Bluecoat, Sidewinder, Symantec Backup Exec, Snort, WSUS, Big Fix, McAfee ePO, Nessus, STIG implementation, BigFix, CyberArk, Windows Server suite of tools.
What you bring:
Experience with configuring and maintaining web and application servers.
Windows Server Administration
Knowledge of Database architecture
Understanding of production support operating models.
Knowledge of networks and network practices Exposure to various file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, etc)
Proven work experience in a prior technical support role.
Excellent English communication skills with a customer-oriented attitude.
Commitment to continuous improvement – working creatively to improve working practices.
Working as part of an On-Call rota.
Strong customer communication skills Experience training and mentoring junior team members The ability to manage a project from start to finish Experience working with other teams (network support, application support)
