Main Accountabilities:

  • To remain conversant and compliant with the company’s credit policy & procedures.

  • To regularly monitor for blocked orders and implement expedient action for their release within the prescribed cut off times and in compliance with the Credit Policy/Authority matrix.

  • To liaise with customers, End Market, inter departmentally and cross functionally to resolve customer account queries.

  • To ensure on a day to day basis that all outstanding balances or potential bad debts on customer accounts are actively and expediently pursued.

  • Ensure that key business stakeholders are provided with up to date information on customers, which meet with their requirements and add value to the business.

  • Daily, weekly & month end cut-offs & reporting deadlines are achieved.

  • Actively participate in all projects relating to Finance functional and company sponsored events including the facilitation of all projects relating to Finance.

Additional Information:

  • The position will manage a designated range of customer accounts

  • The incumbent will work in a dynamic office environment requiring a high degree of sensitivity an confidentiality whilst at all times maintaining a discrete and professional manner.

  • Ensure that all customer accounts are reconciled and that trading limits are reviewed in line with sustained trading activity together with maintenance of effective credit controls in the granting of credit extensions.

  • Records Management controls maintained.

  • An effective working knowledge must be maintained of GST, FBT and Excise together with standards and SAP sales and distribution systems.

  • The main function is to ensure the proper collection of monies and allocation to customer accounts, and releasing orders and dealing with difficult customers without damage to sales or risk to the company.

  • Required to provide support as required to the external debtor operations

Operational Requirements:

  • Daily operation tasks are processed within SLA or escalated inline with relevant escalation process;

  • Daily duties completed to deadline dependent on task;

  • Rota duties to be completed to deadline dependent on task;

  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly checks and reports are completed to deadline;

  • Internal control programmes consistently adhered to;

  • Positive feedback from End Market contacts;

  • Improvement initiatives implemented and efficiency improvements demonstrated.

​Main Requirements:

  • Ability to support ANZ markets with earlier starting shift (4am or 6am)

  • Gain and maintain a sound knowledge of Credit Policy and Procedure.

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience working within AR, Credit, Collections or Customer Service in FMCG environment.

  • Possess relevant Finance & Accounting degree/diploma education.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word and Power BI would be added advantage.

  • Attention to detail, methodical and organized.

  • Effective planning and time management skills.
