Position Summary
At CVS Accountable Care our business analysts are key drivers of our continued growth and success. With their commitment to innovation, our analysts seek, develop, and help implement strategic initiatives for improved beneficiary outcomes, clinical impact, and to drive efficiency and appropriate utilization in a value-based care environment. We’re currently searching for an experienced business analyst who is highly detail-oriented, an expert communicator, and top-notch analyst skilled at using data analytics to improve health outcomes. This person should also be wholly committed to supporting the fundamentals of high-quality healthcare for the right patient at the right time and in the right setting to optimize outcomes.

Key business objectives for the role include:
- Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify actionable insights through evaluation of real-time and claims-based data
- Acquire, combine, and analyze data from multiple sources, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to clear and transparent communication at all levels.
- Support the larger analytics and business organization through execution of complex data analytics that support product, clinical, financial and other objectives.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- The ability to understand health care operations and systems
- Pulling and integrating data from disparate sources
- Evaluating and processing raw data - Suggest ways to both increase healthcare quality and reduce costs based upon data analysis
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement and evaluate program improvements

Required Qualifications
3+ years of healthcare data analytics experience, building dashboards/reports, querying with SQL and/or other analysis tools.
- Proven experience as a healthcare data analyst.
- Advanced proficiency with data tools including Microsoft Excel

- Experience using SQL

- Experience working with some of the following: claims, Medicare/Medicaid data, care management data and electronic health records.
- Proven ability to manage projects

- Proven experience presenting to internal and partner stakeholders

- Extensive experience with data manipulation, data visualization, and insight delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Health Informatics, Information technology or computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, public health, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using visualization tools to create reports, including but not limited to Power BI, Amazon Quicksight and/or Tableau

- Experience working in value-based care programs and/or population health management

- Knowledge of data management systems
- Understanding of healthcare procedures, terminology, and coding.

Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Health Informatics, Information technology or computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, public health, or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $91,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
