The opportunity
The Trade, Transport & Logistics (TTL) Global Reporting and Analytics team is part of the Processes Continuous Improvement and Systems function in TTL in Hitachi Energy.
The Global Reporting Specialist supports the Transport & Logistics function by delivering high‑quality reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights. This role is responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining performance reports to improve data visibility and support operational and strategic decision-making. The specialist will participate in data and process improvement initiatives, contribute to automation efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting workflows and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
How you´ll make an impact
Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards to support global Transport & Logistics activities.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate on process and data improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Support automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload.
Enhance data visibility by building new reporting solutions and improving existing ones.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and timely delivery of reporting outputs.
Partner with global and regional stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business requirements into effective analytical solutions.
Monitor and continuously improve reporting performance, ensuring alignment with evolving business processes and data structures.
Support governance activities by documenting reporting processes, data definitions, and best practices to ensure consistent usage across the organization.
Your background
At least 5 years of working experience as reporting specialist in international transportation, supply chain, logistics management or equivalent. Experience in supporting global functions is a plus
Advanced desktop computer skills, including PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook, are required, along with experience using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Advanced presentation skills (data story telling)
Drive to find and design solutions to combine complex data sources with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, proactively seek out projects and initiatives around data and dashboards to drive continuous improvement
Fluent in English, strong written and verbal communications skills required to manage a multitude of internal and external customers and partners
