Job Description: Monitoring Tools Consultant Position Title: IN-Sr Support Engineer 1 Job Type: Full-time Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Monitoring Tools Consultant to implement, configure, and support enterprise monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Splunk, Zabbix, and Elastic, along with skills in tool integrations, APIs, and automation. This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills. Key Responsibilities • Implement, configure, and maintain monitoring solutions using Splunk, Zabbix, and Elastic. • Assist in data onboarding, log collection, metrics, and dashboard/report creation. • Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Opsgenie, PagerDuty) and automation frameworks. • Develop scripts and use APIs to automate monitoring configurations, alerting, and reporting. • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for monitoring-related issues. • Configure alerts, event correlation, and performance dashboards as per business needs. • Support tool upgrades, patches, and scaling activities. • Work closely with the architecture team to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards. • Document implementation steps, runbooks, and provide knowledge transfer to support teams. • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure end-to-end visibility. Required Skills & Experience • 4–7 years of IT experience, with at least 2+ years in monitoring and observability tools. • Hands-on knowledge of Splunk (search, dashboards, alerting), Zabbix configuration, Elastic/ELK stack. • Experience with tool integrations using APIs and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Shell). • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in monitoring environments. • Good understanding of infrastructure monitoring (servers, network, databases, cloud). • Exposure to application monitoring and log management concepts. Preferred Qualifications • Certifications in Splunk Power User/Administrator, Elastic Certified Engineer, or equivalent. • Experience with cloud monitoring (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Operations Suite). • Familiarity with Kubernetes/Container monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana). • Exposure to AIOps platforms for event correlation and alert noise reduction.
