Role: Veterinary Surgeon (Primary Care)

Salary: Up to £55,000 D.O.E. Plus £2,000 welcome bonus (direct applications)

Location: Eastcott Veterinary Hospital, Swindon

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (open to part-time applicants)

Hours: 40 hours a week, 4-day week with a 1 in 8 weekends (with 2 days in lieu the following week) Minimal on-call as ECC team on site.

The Team

We are seeking a motivated Veterinary Surgeon who excels in communication and teamwork to work alongside a team of 13 Vets. At Eastcott, you’ll thrive among a friendly team that values your input and fosters engaging case discussions, ensuring you grow both personally and professionally.

This exciting role is primarily based at our main hospital but also includes rotations through our consulting-only branches.

Beyond your clinical responsibilities, you will find numerous opportunities to explore your passions—whether by participating in the Green Team, mentoring recent graduates, or helping to organise our vibrant social events.

We are looking for

  • Our ideal candidate will be confident within all GP areas including surgery and medicine (ideally with a Surgical Certificate, or currently pursuing one)
  • Excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, determination, and positivity
  • Strong team ethos and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
