Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of HVAC systems while ensuring high-quality service and adherence to safety standards. This role is suited for individuals with foundational HVAC experience who are looking to grow their technical skills in a professional environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair various HVAC equipment and components, including but not limited to:
  • Air-cooled and water-cooled systems up to 1000 tons
  • Hot water boilers up to 200 HP
  • Hydronic and piping systems
  • Air conditioning units of various sizes
  • Pumps, air handling units, cooling towers, spot coolers, gas heaters, controls, and electrical components
• Perform start-ups, shutdowns, teardown, and basic commissioning of HVAC systems
• Maintain accurate field service documentation, including:
  • Service reports
  • Refrigerant tracking logs
  • Timekeeping records
• Use power tools, hand tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively for servicing and repairs
• Operate service vehicles and equipment, including forklifts when required
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials from trucks
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers at all times
• Support general business operations, including:
  • Inventory checks
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Cleaning and organization of work areas
• Provide potential sales leads and promote company products and services to customers
• Support onboarding and training of new or junior staff when required
• Strictly follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols at all times

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 0–2 years of relevant HVAC experience (junior-level position)
• Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication and customer service skills
