The Opportunity
We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
The position is accountable for all sales and promotional activity in a defined sales territory incorporating Tertiary Hospitals, Community Care and Primary Care settings. Key customers include (but not limited to): Endocrinologists, Diabetes Educators, Advanced Trainees, General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Practice Managers and Pharmacists.
In addition, there is a focus on identifying opportunities and acquiring new business.
Main responsibilities
Implement specific sales strategies (developed in conjunction with the line manager and/or other commercial team members) for targeted accounts and drive positive sales outcomes.
Initiate and develop close partnering relationships with key accounts/key customers.
Undertake selling interactions that:
Demonstrate proficiency with selling skills sales framework.
Concisely communicate and articulate technical/clinical information
Appraise current and planned customer needs.
Uncover and resolve customer objections.
Achieve agreement with customers through a call to action.
Progress the developed account strategies and challenge the status quo.
Exhibits knowledge and understanding of the company products and services.
Prospect new business opportunities with current and new company products.
Prepare proposals for mutually beneficial business opportunities.
Demonstrate digital/tech agility in communicating and trouble shooting customer queries regarding digital health tools.
Gain knowledge of competitor product offering and identify competitor product strengths and weaknesses.
Proactively maintain customer dbase within CRM system and ensure is up to date.
You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or trade shows/conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend.
Quality, Safety and Environmental
Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.
Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
Ensure any PPE provided by the Abbott is worn.
Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours through Donesafe and notify your manager.
Conduct
Ensure all activities carried out by self and others are in accordance with legislative employment policies, health & safety requirements and global policy.

Qualifications
Essential
Tertiary qualification in Science/Health Science/Business
Desirable
Relevant industry experience (both Primary Care and Tertiary Care settings)
Established knowledge of medical industry, hospitals and other health care institutions
