The Homeland and Force Protection Business Area is looking for a Systems Integration & Test Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) test range and System Integration Laboratory (SIL). Our team is focused on providing Engineering and Integration (E&I) services to our Air Force customer to develop, modernize and integrate Counter-small UAS (C-sUAS) capabilities.
The Systems Integration & Test Lead will be the onsite Point of Contact (POC) for all integration, test, training and maintenance events taking place at the range and SIL. The Systems Integration & Test Lead is a critical liaison between Leidos, USAF customers, End Users, Massachusetts State Organizations, and Defense Industry Partners to coordinate all planned range events. The candidate will be responsible for the daily opening / closing of the range, maintaining and updating range documentation, maintenance and issue resolution on range equipment, and maintaining a schedule of range events. The Systems Integration & Test Lead will be expected to develop a deep understanding of all hardware and software components that makeup the C-sUAS System of Systems (SoS). A FAA Part 107 pilots license is a preferred qualification to support as-needed flight operations. This position will report to the Program Manager and require close coordination with Leidos engineering staff, customer representatives, and subcontract / OEM partners.

Your Main Mission:
Manages and organizes daily range activities to include integration, test, maintenance, and training events.
Build solid relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Technical Director, Cyber Lead, and SW Lead) as well as partners/vendors and customers to ensure best-in-class solutions, including leveraging Leidos Technical Core Capabilities (TCCs) and Enabling Technologies to drive differentiated outcomes that will either increase performance, and/or identify growth opportunities in support of our customer's mission
Continually assess the effectiveness of existing workflows, processes, or procedures applied at the range/SIL for improvement opportunities
Conduct thorough risk, issue, and opportunity assessments for all services and/or projects to mitigate potential issues and challenges
Ensure all range systems are in working order to support planned range operations; work to resolve open issues on all range/SIL systems
Accurately monitors and updates range schedule for all upcoming activities.
Leads weekly customer engagement meeting to provide updates on range equipment status and operations
Apply effective change management strategies to minimize disruption during project execution
Documents range policies and procedures
Supports the operation of small-UAS on an as-needed basis to support range activities
What Sets You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) plus years of experience or a Master’s Degree with six (6) plus years of experience in project management or engineering.
Four (4) years of management experience with excellent organizational and communication skills
Previous site management experience
Experience operating and maintaining radar, EO/IR, and EW systems
Ability to work extended hours to support range operations as needed
US citizenship and have a secret clearance
You Might Also Have:
FAA Part 107 Pilots License and experience with flight operations
Experience leading integration and test events
Familiar with C-sUAS systems and capabilities
Clearance Required:
Must have an active Secret clearance at time of consideration.
