Job Summary: 

As a Project Manager in the Project and Development Services team, you will play a key role in providing client-oriented project management support for various real estate development projects. With a strong focus on client satisfaction, you will collaborate with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure successful project delivery, on time and within budget. Your goal will be to effectively manage all aspects of the project, maintain strong client relationships, and exceed client expectations. 

Responsibilities: 

Client Management: 

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, updates, and issue resolution. 

  • Understand and align with the client’s objectives, providing regular communication and updates on project progress, milestones, and deliverables. 

  • Conduct meetings and presentations to gather project requirements, provide recommendations, and manage client expectations. 

  • Provide effective design management input, review, consultation, and advice to the client to ensure their vision and requirements are met. 

 

Project Planning and Coordination: 

  • Collaborate with the Project Director r to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines based on client requirements and objectives. 

  • Assist in drafting project proposals, contracts, and other project-related documentation. 

  • Coordinate and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination and execution. 

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. 

  • Manage all aspects of concept and detail design related to projects, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs. 

  • Drive the design efforts to adhere to the stated program and scheduled deliverables, costs, and quality standards. Provide regular updates and feedback to Project Controls and Management on the progress. 

  • Ensure that all designs follow best practices and align with environmental and sustainability standards and regulations. 

  • Manage technical resources efficiently, ensuring they fully understand deliverables, requirements, and client objectives. 

  • Contribute to the drafting of design guidelines, briefs, and scope of works, providing valuable insights and recommendations. 

  • Effectively manage and review all design submissions through different stages of the project, including providing review comments and managing the change process. 

  • Implement and oversee the required quality checking and approval procedures for design submissions. 

 

Team Support and Collaboration: 

  • Support the Project Manager in managing internal project teams, conducting regular meetings, and delegating tasks to team members. 

  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, promoting effective teamwork and communication. 

  • Assist in resource allocation, tracking, and organizing project documentation, ensuring streamlined project workflows. 

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure their deliverables align with project requirements and timelines. 

  • Coordinate and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders daily to manage design options, proposals, and recommendations for projects. 

  • Identify potential value engineering ideas to reduce costs and save time, providing recommendations and approving proposed value engineering options. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

  • Generate regular project status reports, including updates on project milestones, budget tracking, and any changes to scope. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, contracts, and meeting minutes. 

  • Assist in the preparation of project presentations and other client-facing materials. 

  • Prepare client reports on the quality of design team submittals, evaluating them against the contractual agreements and coordinating with JLL staff and contractors. 

  • Chair progress meetings and report on project progress regarding the program, quality, and other key parameters to clients and internal stakeholders. 

 

Quality Assurance: 

  • Ensure compliance with project management best practices, internal standards, and industry regulations. 

  • Conduct periodic quality checks on project deliverables, ensuring they meet client expectations and project requirements. 

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary. 

  • Take responsibility for excellence in health and safety during the design process, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, real estate, engineering, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in an architecture, engineering, or construction environment. 

  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships. 

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail. 

  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Professional certifications such as PMP are desirable.
