Why is this role important: 

The Floor Planning Analyst serves as the primary owner of accurate planogram to floor plan assignments, which have a direct impact on our in-store customers. This position plays a key role in the Supply Chain organization, most closely with Space Planning, ensuring that all stores have a current floor plan, with relevant assortment, all times throughout the year.  This ensures that, stores receive accurate and timely inventory shipments, maintaining in stock availability of store products, for our customers. Additionally, this position coordinates the resolution of errors or corrections that are required to maintain up to date floor plans. This person will be a business partner expert of the floor planning system and work closely with the space planning and capital planning teams daily.


What you'll do:

  • Manage assignments of planograms to store floor plans with accuracy and accountability
  • Maintain floor plan versions throughout the floor plan lifecycle to drive accurate and , timely updates to support our supply chain network, stores and customers
  • Assist with issue resolution, updates, and changes to store floor plans, always with the customer impact in mind
  • Track and monitor changes to floor plan statuses, ensuring that stores have updated floor plans consistently
  • Partner with Space Planning Managers, to drive co-ordination of floor planning changes as part of category strategy changes and project work
  • Execute store requests for new set sizes communicated by the Planogram Coordinator in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify potential issues and define and implement solutions to prevent the issue from occurring going forward
  • Analyze sales information and provide feedback to the business to assist in making fact-based floor plan changes that are right for our stores and customers
  • Partner with Floor Planning Managers to ensure accurate analysis on recommendations
  • Audit, build and merchandise stores in Floor planning as requested
  • Adhere to Loblaw space planning and category policies, processes, and procedures relating to the execution of Floor Planning updates
  • Provide reporting based on the requirements of the business as needed

  • Must have strong analytical skills, be detail oriented and be able to handle multiple priorities in a faced-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A strong and passionate team player
  • Must have strong computer skills, especially with Excel, preferably Microsoft Access or other database experience (i.e., SAP/SAS/Business Objects)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, required for communicating to multiple levels within the organization
  • Experience using BY software preferred. Experience with other planogram software also accepted
