Job Description: Senior Manager, Finance Transformation

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Finance Transformation is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the finance organization. This role partners closely with the Corporate Functions, US Shared Service Center, and global business leadership to drive process optimization, system enhancements, and operating model transformation.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical finance expertise with transformation leadership, change management capabilities, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, complex environment. This role is critical in building a more scalable and streamlined finance organization that can support business growth, improve decision-making, strengthen controls, and enhance overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation initiatives across the shared service center organization to improve efficiency, service quality, scalability, and governance across transactional finance functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, and Cash Application
  • Drive process harmonization across business units, regions, and legacy systems to reduce complexity and eliminate manual workarounds
  • Improve month-end close support processes within shared services, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational dashboards to improve accountability and performance transparency
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities using workflow tools, robotics, and system enhancements to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and policy adherence within the shared services environment while balancing operational efficiency
  • Partner with business leaders to improve customer experience, issue resolution, and service delivery consistency across the enterprise
  • Support talent development, organizational design, and role clarity within shared services to ensure the team can scale effectively with the business
  • Lead transition planning for migrations, centralization efforts, and organizational redesign initiatives while ensuring business continuity and stakeholder alignment
  • Lead process redesign efforts to improve close cycles, reporting quality, and working capital management
  • Implement KPI frameworks and performance dashboards to monitor operational effectiveness
  • Enhance internal controls, compliance, and policy standardization while balancing efficiency
  • Drive shared services optimization and service delivery improvements
  • Partner with Finance and IT leadership on ERP optimization and finance technology enhancements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior finance leadership including the CFO, CAO, and FP&A leaders
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage project governance across multiple workstreams
  • Influence decision-making through strong financial analysis and business case development
  • Support organizational change management and user adoption across transformation initiatives
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA strongly preferred; MBA preferred
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, controllership, internal controls, and/or financial compliance leadership
  • Strong knowledge of finance operations, close processes, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience leading complex transformation initiatives across large or multi-entity organizations
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities
  • Experience working with ERP systems and finance technology platforms
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence across functions and lead through ambiguity
  • Shared services experience
  • Exposure to global finance operations and multi-site organizations
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or complex operational environments

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
