CrossFit is seeking a Senior Software Architect to join its exceptional team of engineers. You will contribute to the design and implementation of CrossFit’s new enterprise system. CrossFit operates three symbiotic lines of business: affiliated gyms, coach education, and Sport with its games season. Currently, a multitude of custom-built products supports these lines of business. The new system will replace the legacy system developed since CrossFit's inception in 2000. We aim to build new differentiating products that meet today's requirements using modern technologies and best practices. Candidates must have designed and built a portfolio of successful systems that integrated proprietary SaaS and ERP systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce. This is a hands-on position. In this role, the Senior Software Architect will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Lead the architectural strategy and design for our new enterprise system.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business goals.
● Select and integrate suitable software systems while recommending efficient integration methods.
● Manage and guide the development team through the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architectural plans.
● Conduct code reviews and participate actively in system implementation and testing phases.
● Uphold high standards in software quality, security, and performance attributes like modifiability and extensibility.
● Advocate for and enforce best practices in software architecture and development.
● Collaborate with the DevOps team to establish robust CI/CD practices including the integration of ERP and SaaS system sandboxes.
● Work alongside the architecture team to ensure seamless integration of the enterprise system with our SaaS platform, products, and data warehouse.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
● Extensive experience as a software architect, particularly in designing and deploying complex systems integrating ERP and SaaS solutions such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
● In-depth knowledge of Salesforce and NetSuite platforms.
● Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
● Expertise in distributed systems troubleshooting.
● Strong grasp of application architecture and database design.
● Experience with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, UNIX) and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc).
● Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
● Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
