Position: Product Applications Engineer
ADI’s Advanced Data Converter Platform Group (ADG) is looking for an experienced Product Applications Engineer to join our team. The ADG group develops next-generation high speed converter, transceiver, and digital signal processing platforms in deep-submicron processes for the most demanding mixed-signal applications. These large System-On-Chip (SoC) developments span a range of high-performance, RF mixed-signal applications and serve the IF/RF-to-bits function in a diversity of signal chains across markets spanning Aerospace & Defense, Instrumentation, Communications, and emerging markets.
This role is ideal for an energetic and motivated application engineer who is looking for new career challenges in driving execution of cutting edge technology products and customer adoption by collaborating with IC design, software, product evaluation and test, marketing, sales and field applications engineers. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, willingness to commit to and ability to meet deadlines according to business needs, and a proven track record of leading application developments in a large cross functional project team.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of customer support, application deliverables, execution and collaboration with internal and external support teams for the assigned ADG products.
Work with customers to understand, elaborate and document system requirements and key challenges. Translate them into product definitions, customer evaluation hardware designs and use case/feature enablement priorities.
Signal chain analysis, circuit/system modeling and performance evaluation.
Define, implement, test and release new product/system evaluation boards, including SW integration and troubleshooting.
Work closely with Firmware/API/GUI development teams to guide software integration and assist debugging in a customer system environment.
Create technical collaterals including product datasheets, user guides, application notes, whitepapers, training material and webinars that support product go to market strategies and enhance ease of use and customer experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field.
Technical experience in RF, digital signal processing and high-speed data converters.
Knowledge of radio systems and mix-signal & RF signal chains such as radar, 5G communication, RF test & measurement equipment.
Programming skills in C, Python and Matlab is a plus.
Ability to work across a large organization and diverse product development team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
