Responsible for applying new software applications in laboratory information systems and maintaining software applications to meet established lab needs.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Apply new software applications for laboratory information systems

  • Maintain LIS database accuracy and integrity

  • Provide LIS support for lab staff to maximize operating efficiency of the lab

  • Design and develop new applications for laboratory computer systems

  • Interacts with coworkers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the hospital

Educational/Training Requirements: Minimum high school diploma. Formal technical training and/or college preferred.

Experience Requirements: Three years’ experience in a laboratory information system environment. Must be able to show experience in diagnosing and correcting computer software malfunctions, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely fashion. Must be able to train coworkers.
