Position Highlights:
- Full-Time, 2nd shift
- Monday-Friday 12:30pm to 9pm
- Winston Campus, North Tower Pharmacy
Major Responsibilities
- Collects patient information, answers questions accurately, accepts payments, and thanks all customers
- Enters information into the computer database as required by law and follows all cash handling policies and procedures. Ensures accurate cash, check and credit card transactions.
- Answers telephone and refers caller to appropriate personnel when needed
- Responsible for maintaining the front end of the pharmacy. Assists with stock maintenance to ensure that quality drug products and supplies are available when needed.
- Performs or assists with stocking and inventory of supplies and products, which includes unpacking, inspecting items for damage, and ensuring products have accurate pricing and are put away correctly
- Assists with or sets up merchandise displays and reconciles merchandise orders
- May perform packaging, mailing, and cashiering for mailed prescriptions
- Adheres to general pharmacy standards to promote a cooperative work environment through communication and team building
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Certification / Registration / License
- Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.

- Ability to work semi-independently within a team environment, be self-motivated and take initiative appropriately
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb and reach about shoulders throughout the workday
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to use hands with fine manipulation when using computer keyboard, cash register, and retail items
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, kneel, climb, twist, crawl and reach above shoulders
- Requires considerable walking, standing, pushing mobile cart of approximately 50 pounds and lifting 35 pounds of material
- Must have functional vision, touch and hearing
- Must be able to speak and be understood by others to communicate effectively
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease
- Exposed to various conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs and changes in temperature and humidity
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Flexibility to travel between pharmacy locations
