Workday data conversion consultant1
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data conversion activities for Workday implementations (HCM, Finance, Payroll, etc.)
- Analyze legacy system data and map it to Workday data structures
- Design and develop data conversion strategies, templates, and ETL processes
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using Workday delivered tools
- Cleanse and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness before migration
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define data requirements
- Execute mock loads, identify issues, and resolve data discrepancies
- Support integration testing, UAT, and deployment phases
- Maintain documentation for data mapping, transformation rules, and conversion processes
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards
- Troubleshoot data load errors and optimize conversion performance
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data migration or data conversion projects
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Workday implementations
- Strong knowledge of Workday modules (HCM, Financials, Payroll, etc.)
- Strong data mapping, data modeling, and data validation skills
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel and data analysis
- Experience handling large datasets and complex data structures
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in at least one full-cycle Workday implementation
- Workday certification (HCM, Financials, or Integrations)
