What You Will Do:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join Business Transformation team to support energy, sustainability, and infrastructure work with our commercial and public sector clients. This person will support the management of our large programs, working with the project team to plan and deliver large programs.

We partner with our clients to design and deliver transformational programs, evaluate, and optimize program contributions towards climate, energy, and other goals, and continuously improve the program experience for customers.

As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects and workstreams, contributing to project planning, preparing, and maintaining documentation, reviewing contracts and financials, monitoring project activities, and evaluating the overall project performance.   In addition, you will work with client stakeholders to assess project performance, identify, and manage risks and issues, keeping clients informed and proactively managing expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading project planning, budgeting, and overall strategy
  • Establishing key performance indicators
  • Monitoring and evaluating the overall project
  • Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance
  • Identifying problems and shortfalls and proposing solutions
  • Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines, etc.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project documentation and reports
  • Maintaining project contracts and financials
  • Support the development and rollout of our project management methodology, being a coach and change agent to encourage end user adoption

What You Will Need:

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagements
  • Bachelor’s degree AND 5-7 years post-graduation work experience that must include project management and operations with US Power Utilities or Federal Civilian Agencies. Work experience excludes internships, co-ops, fellowships, and graduate research; Or
  • Master's degree AND 3-5 years post-graduation work experience that must include project management and operations with US Power Utilities or Federal Civilian Agencies.
  • Must have EM&V project experience for a US based power utilities organization, Utilities industry consulting firm or a Federal civilian agency
  • Current PMP Certification
  • Experience with stakeholder and financial management
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of the project management life cycle
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with data analytics in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (~5%-10%)
  • Ability to work onsite in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
  • Currently reside in the contiguous United States
  • Staff level of hire will be determined through the Guidehouse interviewing process

The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
