Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview 

This role serves as the technical product owner for commercial and digital marketing capabilities supporting DePuy Synthes Commercial Technology. The Technology Manager, NA & Marketing partners closely with digital experience, marketing, sales, and Commercial leaders to translate business strategies into scalable, compliant, and highimpact digital and data solutions. This role has direct impact on customer engagement, commercial effectiveness, and the delivery of technology products that enable growth and operational excellence across the orthopedics portfolio and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own and manage the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for commercial, digital experience and marketing technology solutions, from intake and prioritization through delivery and continuous improvement. 

  • Act as the primary liaison between IT, Marketing, Sales, Analytics, and external partners to ensure solutions align with NA commercial objectives and customer needs. 

  • Translate digital experience and marketing automation business strategies and roadmaps into clear technical product visions, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 

  • Prioritize product backlogs based on business value, regulatory requirements, risk, and technical feasibility, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and data standards. 

  • Lead agile ceremonies and product planning activities, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of technology capabilities. 

  • Monitor product performance using defined KPIs and customer feedback to drive enhancements and measurable business outcomes. 

  • Ensure solutions comply with Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Synthes policies related to data privacy, cybersecurity, quality, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Mentor and guide junior product owners or analysts, fostering strong product management and agile practices within the Commercial Technology team. 

  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing digital experience and customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization, and datadriven decisionmaking while driving scalable and compliant commercial execution across sales, marketing, and customer operations. 

 

Qualifications 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field). 

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred. 

Experience and Skills 

Required: 

  • 6-8 years of experience in technology product management, product ownership, or digital solution delivery within a commercial, marketing, web, digital experience, or customerfacing environment. 

  • Strong technical skills in commercial technology platforms and integrations (e.g., CRM, digital experience, marketing automation, customer data platforms, SEO/AEO analytics, or digital engagement tools) 

  • Proven business skills, including translating digital experience, marketing and sales strategies into technology roadmaps, defining value cases, and measuring ROI. 

  • Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models, with hands‑on ownership of product backlogs, user stories, and prioritization. 

  • Leadership skills demonstrated through influencing cross‑functional stakeholders, driving alignment, and making data‑driven decisions without direct authority. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical product teams and senior commercial leaders. 

  • Experience operating in regulated or highly governed environments, with awareness of data privacy, security, and quality requirements. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience supporting marketing, digital experience, sales, or commercial operations within medical devices, life sciences, or healthcare industries. 

  • Handson experience with customer data, SEO/AEO analytics, or digital marketing technologies (e.g. digital lead capture, email segmentation and journeys, personalization, campaign management, reporting). 

  • Demonstrated people leadership or mentoring experience within product, technology, or agile teams. 

  • Strong change‑management capabilities, including driving adoption of new digital tools and ways of working. 

  • Product Owner or Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) preferred. 

Other: 

  • Travel: Up to 10–20%, primarily domestic. 

  • Certifications: Agile / Product Management certifications preferred, not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
