Job Description Position available with Universal Media, LLC in CIEC (Comcast India Engineering Center) as a Software Engineer (SAP). Provide state-of-art technical support for the SAP Financial, Procurement and Subledger systems maintenance and enhancements including integration to other systems. This includes participating ABAP development activities to support ongoing production support and enhancement post go-live. This role requires a strong understanding of finance/procurement/subledger based principles and proven experience on design and deliver high quality clean core solutions through technical development that meet overall business requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•
Perform SAP ABAP Development activities based out of CIEC in support of the business request to improve or add functionality to the existing SAP landscape in ECC and/or S/4 HANA systems an emphasis on the Financial modules
•
Providing support for ECC and S/4 HANA existing custom programs and applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing necessary changes or updates based on service requests raised by business users
•
Write Technical Specification documents, perform technical unit testing, support functional teams during testing and validation cycles
•
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
•
Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
•
Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team
•
Adherence to IT/SAP project methodologies, and change control processes
Qualifications
Technical Skills
•
Education focus degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
•
Experience as an ABAP Developer/Senior developer with. 5-7.5 years of SAP ABAP development hands-on experience in ECC and/or S/4 HANA or SAP Fiori UI5. Knowledge in various SAP modules and Integration development working on large-scale ECC or SAP S/4 transformations.
ECC Development Experience
•
Has performed technical ABAP development using BADI’s, BAPI’s, LSMW, ALE, RFC calls, IDOC, BDC, business objects, classes and methods, Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPScripts, Data Dictionary, ALV report
•
ABAP debugging skills, workflow experience
•
Performed performance tuning of ABAP programs
•
Worked on troubleshooting and debugging ABAP programs
S/4 HANA Development Experience
•
Knowledge and awareness of SAP Clean Core principles including use of released API's, in app extensibility options and key user extensibility.
•
Knowledge of 3-Tier extensibility model and SAP RAP (Restful ABAP) and CAP (Cloud Application) Programming Models
•
Good knowledge on other new SAP technologies such as CDS views Fiori SAPUI5, SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP Business Application Studio etc
Other skills
•
Confirmed ability to be flexible and agile, both independently and in a team
•
Relevant SAP technical certification a plus
•
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
•
Possess interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate in a team environment
•
Familiarity and comfort in working with a variety of support models with onsite & offshore resources
•
Strong understanding of IT project management SDLC processes and methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum and associated best practices.
•
Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as required for production support when issues arise
