What You will do

Under direct Supervision, completes assigned programming, commissioning, basic troubleshooting, and Preventative maintenance of Fire/Security systems per contract obligations.

How You will Do it

  • Assist experienced personnel with solutions to systems problems, either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems.
  • Solid understanding of fire/security products, software, and systems/electrical technology.
  • Assist in performing required commissioning documentation.
  • Provide accurate information for as-builts documentation.
  • Adherent to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Maintain appropriate local and national fire/safety Industry Certifications.
  • Communicate with Customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Assist in monitoring project executions per plan.
  • Report problems or changes to Supervisor.
  • Complete paperwork and on-site documentation as required.
  • Perform self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience installing security systems.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to explain technical information to non-technical people.

Preferred

  • NICET Level I Certification
  • Prior experience within the Fire/Security industry with basic knowledge and understanding of fire/security systems, database structure, network configuration and analysis.
  • Software House certified
  • Electronics certification from Accredited technical school/ military electronics training desired.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.61 – $35.43 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
