Program Manager Aftermarket (m/f/d)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ REQUIREMENTS:

  • Serves as program owner, accountable for the execution and success of new and existing Aftermarket Product Line programs

  • Develops and validates program scope and customer deliverables. Leads and coordinates the assessment of customers Requests for Quotation and ensures feedback to customers in timely manner

  • Ensures that customer expectations for quality, timing, and product performance are met or exceeded

  • Provision of transparency with respect to project objectives, organization and results

  • Creates and monitors the project timing and budgeting, plans professional management of cross-functional project teams (including interfacing & coordinating external supplier activities/tasks).

  • Realization of project and cost optimization

  • Assurance of internal and external project milestones

  • Organization and implementation of regular meetings with the customer development teams

  • Organization and implementation of internal project reviews

  • Recognition, highlighting and elimination of obstacles to project implementation

  • Conducts frequent team meetings. Leads team meetings, functional meetings, joint BW Aftermarket/customer meetings.

  • Liaises with other regional Program/Product Line Managers to capture, track and report all programs and their related status.

  • Supports the definition and execution of Global Remanufacturing programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed university degree ideally with focus on mechanical engineering or related

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Aftermarket Business and Program Management working with cross/multi functional teams.

  • Strong Program Management skills in resource, task, and budget planning

  • Several years of extensive product experience with turbochargers

  • Several years of extensive experience in the aftermarket area for the automotive supplier industry

  • Understanding of managerial finance as it relates to program and business metric

  • Leadership competence leading project teams

  • Very good oral and written English language skills, further languages desirable

  • Several years of intercultural experience

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP

  • Willingness to frequent travel
