Software Developer I

As a Software Developer, you will participate in the successful design, development, troubleshooting and implementation of applications to meet business requirements. You will work with other team members, including more senior developers, to ensure the design and development of software systems is carried out in a timely manner 
 

A caregiver in this position works 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Strongly prefer React and NextJS experience

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. 

  • Adhere to the team's defined SDLC best practices, including use of templates and source control. 

  • Participate in story writing, estimating and backlog refinement sessions. 

  • Follow department guidelines regarding time tracking and work assignment. 

  • Debug and troubleshoot code-related issues and defects. 

  • Support projects and provide ongoing application support in an agile development environment. 

  • Deliver solutions and deliverables as part of a squad in an agile development environment. 

  • Complete assigned tasks within the established time estimate. 

  • Provide after-hours support as appropriate. 


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • ITIL Foundations certification upon hire or within six months of employment. 

  • Two years of experience developing ASP.NET, VB.NET and/or C# applications.  

  • An associate’s degree and one year of experience will substitute the experience requirement. 


Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.  

  • Basic understanding of database and application services.  

  • Front-end developer with experience in technologies such as React, Sanity and Next.js. 

  • Understanding of basic front-end technologies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. 
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
