Amplify is seeking an Collections Manager to oversee and lead the day-to-day operations of collecting payments from our company’s customers. The Accounts Receivable/Collections Manager will oversee the accounts receivable team, manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, monitoring accounts and facilitating timely collections, including the resolution of disputes and customer services issues, and maintaining accurate records. The Accounts Receivable/Collections Manager will also develop and implement strategies to improve the collection processes. The ideal candidate is familiar with all accounting procedures and can manage daily financial transactions.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process

  • Proven ability to mentor and develop staff, including training employees in AR processes, tools and best practices.

  • Monitor processing of invoices, manage accounts and ensure timely collections of payments

  • Identify problem accounts and facilitate collections 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of billing and payment issues.

  • Develop escalation procedures and enhanced collection processes for difficult or delinquent accounts; investigate circumstances of non-payment; negotiate and resolve conflicts, expediting payment

  • Lead efforts to implement automation tools or systems that can enhance the accounts receivable process, reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports. 

  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding, aging of receivables and collection efficiency rates to track and improve collection performance.

  • Organize records of invoices, bills and deposits

  • Collaborate with the finance team to forecast cash inflows and support cash flow management initiatives.

  • Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with national and local law, and internal accounting controls

  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting

  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable/collections

  • In-depth knowledge of collection laws and regulations

  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting and bookkeeping

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with standard accounting and bookkeeping software

  • Excellent time management and detail orientation

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Management experience

  • Proficiency with NetSuite enterprise resource planning system and  Google suite applications

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems

  • Knowledge of internal control best practice.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross annualized salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
