Job Description Qualifications:

The Global Aerospace Safety Initiative is looking for a Safety & Regulatory Integration Leader, based out of Renton, WA to support integration and program execution in cooperation with the BCA Sales Global Strategic Initiatives organization.  The statement of work will focus on safety and regulatory affairs in the China, Southeast Asia, South Asia (India) and Africa regions.  This position reports within the Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) and Global Aerospace Safety Initiative organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Aligns, integrates, and collaborates with the CASO Product and Services Safety (PS&S) organization, Regional PS&S Safety & Regulatory Affairs leaders, the Boeing Commercial Airplanes division, including sales & marketing, the Boeing Global Services division and local teams based in the regions of focus.
  • Develops and executes a portfolio of projects and programs in the areas of aviation safety and regulatory affairs, with direction from the BCA Global Strategic Initiatives (GSI) team.
  • Leads and oversees multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal guidance.
  • Supports strategy development to address highly complex problems, company risks and key regional opportunities in the areas of civil aviation safety and regulatory affairs with direction from the BCA GSI team.
  • Recommends and helps to implement strategies and develops partnerships to achieve business objectives.
  • Develops and prioritizes business opportunities for appropriate level of internal investments and resources.
  • Integrates the local business, cultural and regulatory requirements into the portfolio execution.
  • Develops and utilizes in-depth understanding of our key stakeholders which includes but not limited to: civil aviation authorities (regulators), government officials, U.S. government partners and airline customers.
  • Creates, maintains, and advances stakeholder relationships to build trust and strong partnerships.
  • Monitors financial performance, budgets, and costs for strategic initiative programs and projects; holds other project leaders accountable to financial targets, budgets and leads cost-reduction activities as needed.
  • Works across multiple business units to capture opportunities, understand project requirements, gain commitments and leadership approvals, optimize contributions and achieve business objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10+ years of industry experience (including civil aviation safety and/ or regulatory)
  • Experience building collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time internationally
  • Willingness to work variable hours as needed to interact with customers and colleagues in other regions and time
  • Experience working in a global organization across geographic locations 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience developing and incorporating an understanding of the competitive global business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary Pay Range: $141,950- $192,050
