Director, Training & Certifications
The Director, Training & Certifications, will build and lead Optimal Blue’s training and certification programs for both clients and employees. This leader will design scalable learning frameworks that strengthen product expertise, accelerate client success, and improve internal performance.
Reporting to the VP, Client Success, the Director will oversee the team responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining all training modalities - including instructor-led sessions, on-demand courses, and certification pathways - across Optimal Blue’s solutions. This position is both strategic and hands-on - ideal for a leader who can set direction, build structure, and deliver measurable impact on adoption, satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The target base pay range for this position is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00. This position is eligible for the annual corporate profit share bonus program.
Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
- Define and execute Optimal Blue’s unified training strategy for internal and external audiences, spanning onboarding, role-based learning, and product certifications.
- Establish scalable frameworks for training delivery, feedback collection, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor a team of trainers and instructional designers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and cross-functional alignment.
- Establish training standards and delivery guidelines for a consistent learner experience.
Content & Curriculum Design
- Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, and Technical Support to develop curriculum for new releases and implementation training.
- Oversee creation of live workshops, virtual classrooms, and LMS-hosted eLearning modules.
- Ensure training materials meet accessibility and brand standards.
Certification Program Management
- Lead the design and administration of certification exams, credential maintenance, and tracking mechanisms.
- Define and measure program success metrics (completion, satisfaction, enablement ROI).
Internal Enablement
- Build internal enablement programs that elevate employee knowledge across all business units.
- Partner with HR and leadership to embed training into onboarding and career development across all BUs.
Technology & Systems
- Select, implement, and manage the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Leverage analytics and dashboards to measure utilization, effectiveness, and impact.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 + years in training, enablement, or certification program leadership - ideally in SaaS, mortgage, or fintech.
- Experience managing direct reports and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and LMS platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with LMS platforms, eLearning development, live virtual/instructor-led training, certification exam design, and measurable results (e.g., reduced time-to-proficiency, monetization, adoption targets).
- Excellent communication (written, verbal), project and program management skills, ability to handle tight deadlines and ambiguity.
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships for training technologies, content creation, assessments/exams.
- Preferred: Experience in high-paced SaaS/fintech, external credentialing/certification programs and adult learning theory and best practices.

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.
Other Compensation (US Only):
This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.

The Company provides a minimum of 10 days of vacation for new employees , sick time based on state requirements, 8 Company-paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.
