What you will do-

  • Development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.

  • Develop and lead cross functional teams based in US and Germany to guide the process of strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.

  • Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required. 

  • Leads development of contract strategy.  Negotiates, establishes, monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements. 

  • Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.

  • Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers. Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.

  • Create and implement enterprise wide metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.

  • Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive Leadership.

What you need-

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, required

  • 7+ years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development, highly preferred

  • Engineering/technical background, highly preferred

  • Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies

  • Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.

  • Strong skills in leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication & presentation, project management, troubleshooting & problem solving, analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building.

  • Strong judgment with the ability to make and communicate timely and sound decisions

  • Fluent language skills in German and English speaking and writing

  • Valid car driving liscence class B
