As a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician on our 3rd shift in Roswell, GA, you will support advanced industrial manufacturing operations within a clean, climate-controlled medical device manufacturing environment. This role follows a Monday – Friday, 9:30pm - 6:00am schedule, with shifts and hours varying slightly based on business needs. Willingness to work onsite five days per week is required, with overtime and occasional weekend support as needed.

The Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance team supports the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical manufacturing equipment that enables IDEXX to deliver high-quality products to customers around the world.

Unlike traditional industrial settings, this is a clean, dry, boiler-free medical device facility where you’ll have your own IDEXX toolbox, assigned desk, computer, and cellphone to support your day-to-day work.

In this role:

  • You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • You will troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems including motors, conveyors, sensors, pneumatic systems, and motion control equipment
  • You will support robotics and automation systems including vision-guided equipment, precision dispensing systems, and ultrasonic welding equipment
  • You will diagnose and resolve electrical issues involving both AC and DC systems
  • You will disassemble, rebuild, and optimize complex manufacturing equipment to improve performance and reliability
  • You will apply root-cause analysis techniques to identify recurring equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective actions
  • You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance team members to support safe and efficient operations
  • You will help analyze equipment and maintenance data to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • You will support operational continuity through reliable attendance and schedule flexibility when business needs arise

What you need to succeed:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, electro-mechanical technician, or related maintenance technician roles (required)
  • You have hands-on experience troubleshooting AC and DC electrical systems within an industrial manufacturing environment (required)
  • You have experience supporting electro-mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and motion control systems (required)
  • You have experience working with PLCs, ideally Allen Bradley controllers (required)
  • You have the ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and rebuild complex industrial manufacturing equipment (required)
  • You are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating cross-functionally with production and engineering teams (required)
  • You are willing to support overtime and occasional weekend work based on operational needs (required)
  • You have familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) (required)
  • You have experience working with Epson or Fanuc robotic systems (preferred)
  • You have experience supporting highly automated or medical device manufacturing environments (preferred)

Schedule:

  • The hours for this position are Monday – Friday: 9:30pm - 6:00am.
  • Shifts and hours may vary slightly depending on business needs.
  • You will play an important role in supporting operational continuity through reliable and dependable attendance.
