The Manager, Subcontractor Risk Management, reporting to the Senior Director, Business Operations, is a newly created role within the organization. This individual will drive the strategic direction of subcontractor risk management across the Construction group.
We are looking for someone with a visionary approach who can build successful relationships with subcontractors and project teams, establish and lead a high-performing team, and shape the future of subcontractor risk management. This role is critical in executing the Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) prequalification program, managing risk management procedures, and providing insight on risk to executive and operational leaders.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the Subcontractor Risk Management team, ensuring priorities are set and deliverables meet business unit needs and goals.
- Cultivate relationships with project teams and subcontractors, promoting awareness of risk management practices while maintaining confidentiality.
- Lead the development, implementation, and communication of subcontractor risk management program policies and procedures.
- Oversee the processing and evaluation of subcontractor prequalification information, maintaining secure documentation aligned with risk management strategies.
- Coach and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve team and individual success.
- Provide reports on subcontractor risk management metrics and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the SDI program, ensuring all project enrollment and documentation is managed appropriately.
- Deliver formal and ad-hoc training to internal teams, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance and a risk-aware culture.
- Collaborate with executive and operational leaders to assess program and team performance and ensure continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Managerial experience in leading teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for engagement with subcontractors, project teams, and executives.
- Strong consultative and advisory skills, able to collaborate effectively with operational leaders.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Solid understanding of accounting practices, financial analysis, and financial statements.
- Strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
- High accuracy in managing large data volumes, with proficiency in Excel functions such as pivot tables.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with sound professional judgment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Economics.
Compensation
$97,200 - $133,650 Annually
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
