Complex analysis at the highest level is conceptualized and implemented to support international customers in the pharmaceutical industry - often within multinational projects.

The role

The selected candidate will work on the Standard Component Program, which aims to redesign and standardize the multitude of statistical algorithms behind all European Information Offerings. Among other things, this will imply to:

  • Support in concept design and development of innovative sampling approaches.
  • Ongoing development and improvement of quality control methodologies (e.g., anomaly detection, isolation trees), ML based imputation approaches and various projection methodologies (e.g., geo-spatial, cloning, ML based, etc) specifically for large data sets.
  • Support in development and automation of machine learning solutions and technologies and high scale deployment for Healthcare Big Data (Pharmacy, Hospital, Physician, Patient).
  • Support in development and deployment of new projection and forecast techniques.
  • Selection and application of machine learning techniques, in connection with Healthcare Big Data to identify complex patterns.
  • Working with technology teams to support machine-learning algorithms in big data platforms.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Master’s degree in mathematics/Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in quantitative data analysis or PhD with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience with research in machine learning algorithms.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Machine Learning methods.
  • Experience applying Machine Learning methods to business questions.
  • Good knowledge of the higher statistical and econometric methods in theory and practice.
  • Experience with handling Big Data.
  • Skilled in Python and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience designing applications using a microservices architecture and container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience deploying code into production through CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Experience working with cloud ecosystem (esp. Azure)
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong analytic mindset and logical thinking capability.
  • Demonstrates consulting, creativity, critical thinking, project planning, and attention to detail capabilities.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and experience with pharmaceutical data (medical, hospital, pharmacy, claims data) would be a plus, but not a must.
