Long Life Consumable Business Manager / Canon Programs Lead

Description -

The LLC Business Manager and Canon Programs Lead has two very important roles within the Toner Solutions Business.

1) This product manager is responsible for working with the Commercial Organization and markets to drive the success of the $80 Million Long Life Consumable Business.

2) The Canon Programs lead is responsible for maximizing Canon rebate claims and market share using Canon programs for both the Managed Print Services and Supplies Big Deals.

Description/Responsibilities

LLCs

  • Responsible for fusers, image transfer belts, rollers, LLC kits, and toner collection units used in the Value Laser Printers. They are replaced in printers at certain page intervals.
  • Ensure all product and pricing portions of the 4P mix are functioning smoothly.
  • Analyze sell-thru and market share estimates relative to toner share
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and gain share versus remanufacturing competition.
  • Provide guidance and consistency to future product managers on the pricing and product strategies for new product introductions

Canon Programs Lead

  • Provide leadership and business analytics to the two individuals responsible for processing rebate claims.
  • Analyze claims submittals and rebate claims for insights to better enable HP to gain toner share and additional Canon rebate support for the toner business
  • Understand toner trends, especially in the managed print services business
  • Analyze when share losses require Canon support for newer toner families

This role is a position of analysis, partnership, influence, and leadership within the overall team. This person will develop new analytical techniques to gain customer insights on why customers choose to use HP Original LLCs. This person will also bring new analytical and machine learning techniques to analyze the big deal submittals and claims and indirect managed print services claims. They will identify opportunities to gain greater levels of Canon support that results in market share gains for the TSS business.

  • Provide insights on toners supplies business
    • Ability to focus and prioritize deliverables with multiple requests and stakeholders.
    • Develop consistent and reliable analytical techniques: Big Data and third-party and financial metrics 
    • Partner with driver and forecasting teams on a regular cadence
    • Utilize big data, rebate claims databases, market share reports to identify success and opportunity areas growing the business/
  • Influence management and leadership
    • Develop new capabilities and analytical techniques using artificial intelligence and machine learning that result in business growth for the toner business
    • Deliver critical and relevant insights and direction to cross-functional leadership
    • Develop realistic Long Term Plans for the LLC and Canon Programs.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are required.
    • Able to produce crisp and actionable insights that drive business planning and strategy.  Clearly articulate what it means with the business.   Work with key stakeholders to influence business decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and advancements in data analytics
    • Advance data analytic tools to identify Market Share risks and future quarter outlook: velocity, acceleration, online reporting, etc.

Business & Financial Acumen:  Understanding of Print strategy/products/services and fundamental business principles

Education and Experience Required:

  • Experience in the Print and/or supplies business and/or regional teams is desirable.  Exposure to Big Data and the Canon partnership a plus.
  • Academic background as an MBA or in data science, artificial intelligence, finance.
  • Ability to query large databases and create insightful reports is a plus
  • Typically 5 plus years of business experience.
  • College degree in Marketing/Business/ Technical.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product marketing fundamentals.

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $110,000-140,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
