Reports to: Sales Director
Mondelez (MDLZ) is looking for an accomplished and agile Sales Traditional Trade Head to lead our TT channel nationwide and a team of field sales representatives/managers (ASM, RSM).
This critical role will oversee the TT sales business, focusing on driving revenue growth, expanding distribution networks, gaining market share, and ensuring superior execution in traditional outlets. Inspired by successful FMCG practices in Vietnam, you will be a transformative leader capable of navigating a high-
volume, fragmented channel in a dynamic market.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Sales Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute nationwide strategies for the TT channel to meet revenue targets, expand distribution (including untapped "white space" and rapid-growth areas), optimize coverage, and drive market share gains through effective route-to-market and distributor management.
- Team Management: Lead and motivate a large nationwide team (including Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors, Sales Representatives, and support functions). Provide hands-on leadership while fostering a strategic vision to create a high-performing, highly engaged team with a strong culture of ownership and agility.
- Distributor and Channel Development: Build and strengthen distributor networks, manage wholesaler relationships, ensure perfect store execution (visibility, availability, merchandising), and implement programs for seasonal peaks (e.g., Tet and Mid-Autumn Festival).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge strategic partnerships with internal teams, including Trade Marketing, Head of Modern Trade (MT) & AFH Sales, Sales Operations & Capability, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, Legal, and others, to align on initiatives, resolve issues, and accelerate business transformation.
- Business Transformation: Exhibit high agility to lead the team through market changes, innovate in distribution and execution, and respond swiftly to competitive dynamics and consumer trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance, market data, competitor activities, and KPIs; leverage insights to refine strategies and ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
What you will bring

- Experience: 16-20 years in TT/GT channels within the FMCG industry in Vietnam, with proven leadership in senior sales management, RTM roles (National Sales TT Lead, Senior RSM, Branch Manager, Distribution Management/RTM Senior Manager, etc.)
- Leadership Skills: Track record of leading large, distributed teams nationwide, blending hands-on involvement with strategic oversight. Expertise in building high-performing teams and cultivating an engaging, resilient culture.
- Agility and Innovation: Exceptional ability to drive business transformation, capture growth opportunities in fragmented channels, and achieve rapid market share expansion.
- Collaboration Expertise: Strong skills in strategic negotiation and cross-functional partnerships to deliver integrated results.
- Education and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Outstanding analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities. Fluency in Vietnamese and English.
- Personal Attributes: Visionary, results-driven leader with resilience in fast-paced environments and a deep passion for FMCG distribution excellence.
