We are now looking for a new Area Manager for our Installation business in Icopal Katto Oy.

Icopal Katto Oy is part of BMI Group. The organisation focuses on operations and project implementation with a local presence. We  operate on several locations in Finland which are run by the area managers. We have over 200 employees. Icopal Katto Oy  always wants to be the best supplier of roofing solutions in Finland. The Area Manager is responsible for developing the business in the capital area in line with the market and customer needs.  The Area Manager is responsible for achieving operational and performance targets in your area of responsibility in line with the company's strategy, budget and other management guidelines. 

The Area Manager is reporting directly to the business director of Icopal Katto Oy in Finland. You are a senior member of staff and you will work out from our office in Vantaa. 

Your main tasks will be:

  • Business planning, monitoring and reporting 

  • Responsibility for sales, implementation and performance  

  • People responsibility for a team of approximately 70 employees

  • Responsible for Health and Safety  

  • Procurement and investments  

  • Responsible for maintaining good relations with customers, authorities and other relevant parties

  • Responsible for the prompt and fair handling of complaints

  • Responsible for developing and improving the operational activities in the region, looking for new ways of working and new models

Here's what you bring to the table:

Ideally you hold a technical degree in engineering, preferably within construction, but more important is relevant work experience.

Furthermore, you have a proven track record of minimum several years in a similar position within sales and management from the construction industry, preferably from a large international player. Maybe you have experience from a main contractor company  as our customer.

You also have experience of leading and motivating teams as well as strong skills in negotiations and proven ability to close the deals.

You are open-minded, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  At the same time, you are ambitious and  results-orientated with a clear focus on culture, engagement and positivity. Your leadership is characterised by seeing each employee, setting the direction towards a positive and proud culture where competence, safety and unity are central.

We also believe you have/are:

  • Experience in change processes and change management; i.e. a strong understanding of what it takes to instigate, lead and manage change.

  • Solid experience from digital tools and ERP-systems.

  • In addition to fluent Finnish, you are proficient in English.
