Purpose Statement: The Cloud Architect has global responsibility for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure solutions. The Cloud Architect is the expert in cloud technologies, has a strong understanding of business needs, and the ability to translate technical requirements into scalable and reliable cloud architectures. The Cloud Architect will be forward looking with a strategic and innovative mindset, ensuring technology trends are known and incorporated in our roadmaps.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the overall cloud architecture design.
- Understands technology trends and incorporates those into strategic roadmaps to drive innovation and business growth.
- Leads strategy and planning for cloud systems and develops effective implementation strategies consistent with specified requirements, architectures and constraints of performance and feasibility.
- Owns implementation and management of cloud technologies.
- Responsible for cloud security, governance, and awareness.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. (Computer Science / IT)
- 4 or more years of direct experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (preferred) and/or Azure, AWS
- 4 or more years of experience working with security, networking, and DevOps principles
- Previous experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- 4 years of related experience required; 6 or more years of related experience is preferred
- Certification in the related architecture field is desirable
- English proficiency required
