Job Summary:

What part will you play?

  • GAF Energy Solar Innovation team is seeking a dynamic Program Management Engineer V that will work on the development of next-generation solar roofs that harvest energy from rooftops and deliver customer satisfaction.

  • Reports to the Chief Solar Innovation Officer, and work within a cross-functional team to develop technology platforms and solar products that integrate seamlessly in roofs to deliver the highest energy production of solar roofs at a competitive cost. Lead cross-functional projects to drive next-generation solar roof technologies and products

  • Provide the critical linkage between Research and Development with GAF/GAF Energy functional organizations, parent company, and external partners.

  • Inspire confidence through personal leadership, influence and communication.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop strategic and detailed plans to prioritize execution on the right work at the right time.

  • Drive development teams and direct reports to meet delivery and growth goals.

  • Work on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined.

  • Ongoing Stage Gate development process adherence and improvements.

  • Identify and implement new business processes as needs arise.

  • Collaborate with Senior management, executives and/or major customers .

What do we require from you?

  • The ideal candidate must have a passion for thinking out of the box and thrive working in a start-up, fast-paced environment. Outstanding program management, creative problem solving and organizing capability, and strong collaborative skills to help us deliver the solar roof of the future and protect what matters most.

  • BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent and 10 years of work experience as a program manager in a product development role.

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience supporting R&D environment preferred.

  • Experience participating with senior management in strategic planning and objective setting, as well as leading implementation and ensuring operational effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse opinions and drive towards consensus.

  • Skilled at analyzing and synthesizing complex information and then communicating the narrative in a clear and concise format.

  • Strong critical thinking ability, exceptional analytical skills, and strong financial acumen.

  • Resiliency and ability to adapt to dynamically changing environments and prioritize competing interests.

  • Sound methodologies towards planning, critical path and key decision identification, Phase Gate process.

  • Demonstrated track record of success working with teams focused on innovation and delivering of solutions in time for customer needs and scaling of technologies or product to manufacturing.

  • Willing and able to travel within the USA and Globally up to 20% of their work time.

Individuals hired for this position can reasonably expect a base salary within the range of $175,000 - $220,000 and an annual bonus.
