About you and this role

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions and has an exciting opportunity for a Work Activity Coordinator Lead in Hahnville, LA! The St. Charles Operations Central Maintenance Shop is looking for a dedicated individual to coordinate skilled trades. This role is crucial in ensuring maximum reliability and cost efficiency for our plant partners. By leveraging your expertise, you will play a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of our facilities, ultimately contributing to the success and sustainability of our operations. You will ensure work activities are carried out safely in an effective and efficient way. Manage productivity of the team that performs the task. This role requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. You may act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.

Responsibilities

  • Act as maintenance focal point for plant partners – coordinates Dow and Contractor trades.
  • Review job packages and prepares to do the task.
  • Assist in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
  • Initiate the work permit procedure, as necessary.
  • Report on the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Review work status with service providers and originators and adjust schedule as required.
  • Reassign person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
  • Confirm that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed. Close work order.
  • Return equipment to operations.
  • Perform the role of shift procedure use focal point for maintenance activity.
  • For Priority Work, serve as a planner and follow the planner responsibilities.
  • Review completed job packets and quality form; ensure non-conformances are used where required.  Coach tradespersons when completed procedures/checklists/equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly.
  • Conduct field audits to ensure procedures are being used according to the local Maintenance Procedure Use Policy.
  • Deliver 100% Maintenance Compliance Task Completion and perform shop audits.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a fabrication shop.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
  • Participate in maintenance staff on call.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operations or Skilled Trades experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Maintenance and / or Activity planning and coordination experience.
  • Demonstrated supervision/influential leadership skills within work groups.

Physical Demands

Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Wear safety equipment, such as hardhat, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Perform infrequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Individual must be physically able to work in the field including but not limited to climbing ladders, scaffolds, stairs and lifting (Not to exceed 50 lbs.).

  • Coordinating Tasks: Effectively plan and execute multiple activities at once, applying strong attention to detail and understanding how small elements fit into larger projects.
  • Maintenance Repair: Handle maintenance, repair, and operations activities for production equipment, including routine and emergency maintenance, spare parts management, condition monitoring, and vendor interaction.
  • Maintenance Software: Use and manage maintenance software systems, such as SAP or Primavera, to efficiently schedule, track, and report maintenance activities.
  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work: Organize work, set priorities, determine required resources, and carry out daily plans while considering how activities and resources depend on one another.
  • Influencing Skills: Bring others toward a shared perspective through respectful, persuasive communication while acknowledging and valuing differing viewpoints.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally across written, verbal, visual, and digital channels, providing updates that help plant partners and maintenance teams stay aligned on priorities and improvement efforts.
