The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation’s space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. As the operator of a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), we are broadly engaged across all aspects of space— delivering innovative solutions that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil and commercial customers. When you join our team, you’ll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.

At Aerospace, we are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees to share in our common passion and aspiration – to carry out a mission much bigger than ourselves.

Dynamic Space Operations (DSO) leverages agile capabilities to strengthen the responsiveness, performance, resiliency, and sustainability of space capabilities.  The concept leverages the principal of maneuver and associated effects in an increasingly dynamic, congested and contested operating environment. DSO spans physical and information domains, and extends across all elements of a space architecture.  Examples include sustained space maneuver, communications path agility and rapid adaptability of tasking, sensing, processing, data and decision-making capabilities and architectures. The realization of this broad vision of DSO is critical to achieving the operational flexibility and technical capacity required to drive innovation and is crucial to winning a future of space conflict.

For our DSO Corporate Technical Fellow, Aerospace seeks a leader that can play a foundational role in helping government leadership define and implement a compelling and effective vision for DSO, and be capable of synthesizing knowledge across policy, doctrine, technology, and research and development to drive progress in this area. This position provides technical and strategic leadership for The Aerospace Corporation to shape, drive and guide the development and implementation of Dynamic Space Operations across the corporation, industry and US and allied customers and mission partners.

The selected candidate will work within the Engineering and Technology Group’s Enterprise Effects Division (EED), aligning this leader to an organization that drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise.  The DSO Corporate Technical Fellow will also work on behalf of the DSO Executive leader to drive the Corporate strategy for DSO and the corporate Technical and Strategic Investment Priorities study.

The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.
