Product Management Director
The Product Management Director will lead and manage key product development initiatives and end‑to‑end product solutions in support of Assurant’s enterprise product strategy. This role partners closely with Product Strategy, Engineering, Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into scalable, high‑quality product capabilities.
The Product Management Director is accountable for ensuring solutions deliver defined business outcomes, meet customer needs, and are operationally ready at launch and beyond.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Own end‑to‑end product management accountability for multiple solutions, including Optofidelity Fusion, Omnicore, and Greystone Phone Bot, from strategy alignment through delivery and post‑implementation validation
Partner with Product Strategy leadership to translate product strategy, market insights, and business priorities into product vision, roadmaps, and execution plans
Define and maintain detailed product requirements, epics, and features aligned to enterprise and solution‑level objectives
Lead cross‑functional delivery across Engineering, Technology, Operations, and business teams to ensure timely, high‑quality execution
Own and oversee functional testing activities end to end, ensuring solutions meet requirements, business use cases, and quality standards prior to deployment
Ensure alignment across integrated platforms and solutions, proactively identifying dependencies, risks, and downstream impacts
Serve as the primary point of accountability for product outcomes, including performance, usability, scalability, and supportability
Drive continuous improvement by incorporating stakeholder feedback, data insights, and post‑release learnings into roadmap updates
Partner with Operations and Technology teams to ensure a smooth transition from build to run, including documentation, training inputs, and operational readiness
Communicate product status, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior leaders and key stakeholders
Coach and mentor peers and team members to build organizational product expertise
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or solution delivery within a complex, technology‑enabled environment
Demonstrated experience owning the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, including requirements definition, build oversight, and functional testing
Proven ability to manage and deliver across multiple concurrent solutions or platforms
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent experience
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Experience leading and developing teams
Track record of successfully developing and launching new or profitable products and/or businesses
Demonstrated ability to influence, sell ideas to, and gain alignment from senior leadership
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate product strategy and operating models across all organizational levels
Strong strategic and innovative thinking capabilities
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in matrixed environments
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align work to evolving organizational goals
Experience analyzing complex, time‑sensitive data from multiple sources and translating insights into action
Strong project and organizational management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
Familiarity with innovation and new product development tools and methodologies
Broad technical acumen to creatively solve complex product development challenges
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
Experience partnering with senior specialists across Legal, Actuarial, Finance, Operations, and Marketing
How much should I expect to travel?
Ability to travel as needed, up to 15%

Pay Range:
$122,400.00 - $204,400.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
