About you and this role:
Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Operations IT Implementation Technologist Lead located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).
This role is part of the Continuous Improvement (CI) organization helping to implement Digital Manufacturing Acceleration (DMA) as well as being a site expert of M&E and IT/OT digital applications. Collaboration between functions /disciplines and experts in the application of information technology (IT) within an Operations context. The basis of this collaboration is the shared objective of defining, delivering and supporting IT solutions providing optimal capability at minimal lifecycle cost. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. May act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.
Responsibilities:
Champion of the Application across the site
Ensure site/plant personnel understand how and when to use the application and support them in smooth execution using the tools
Develop local knowledge of Application & Capability
Build a community of practices to leverage best practices
Drive sustainability integrating applications in the Management of Change process, Training and Management System Review
Ensure Site/Plant level engagement and adoption of the application using influential leadership skills
Communicate status around the implementation to all key stakeholders.
Support learning and issue resolution
Provide ad-hoc “How-To” and process training to users as necessary
May be responsible for onboarding new users in partnership with Application Super User
Owns adoption metrics (critical in early adoption) and monitors usage and adoption of the application
Can articulate value the application enables
Understand how to initiate an incident (P1)
Understand the roles of Application Super User, Site Digital Specialist and OSS roles.
Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree/Technical Diploma) OR 3 years of relevant military training/experience OR in lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or other related experience.
A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
