The Opportunity
This position works on site out of our Austin, TX site supporting the Neuromodulation division. Our Neuromodulation business is an area of expertise for Abbott. This business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. Our Solutions include the ProclaimTM and EternaTM SCS systems, the ProclaimTM DRG Neurostimulator, the only FDA approved DRG therapy and market leading radiofrequency ablation products. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum. Our deep brain stimulation technology for progressive diseases help people manage their Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor symptoms, steering away from side effects.
What You’ll Work On
Adapts, implements and executes curricula and training content through multiple channels to develop clinical competence and technical knowledge amongst health care providers.
Will work closely with the sales and marketing leaders to align initiatives that are developed, executed and measured for HCP engagement and impact.
Coordinates all stages of educational programs including but not limited to; event preparation, customer travel, venue selection, program execution, proper document retention.
Tracks and maintains program specific educational budget.
Works closely with physician faculty to ensure they are trained on the educational material and are prepared for the educational events.
Appropriately solicits and utilizes field, customer, and faculty feedback to understand the current selling, competitive, clinical and healthcare environment and suggests necessary changes to the education strategy to ensure customers are adequately trained.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Abbott products, therapies, customers and business objectives to develop, implement and execute educational programs.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Submits expense and transparency reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Other responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
5 + years of related work experience with a strong understanding of the specified functional area.
Solid understanding and application of business concepts, procedures and practices
Willingness to perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations
Ability to work on problems of a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Must have a sound knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on the business unit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to lead projects and events that involve multiple stakeholders across different departments
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Must be able to effectively communicate to health care professionals, foster and support the relationships and recommend approaches to most effectively leverage business needs with health care professionals via educational strategies
Occasional or regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position
Occasional travel and weekend work to support courses and conferences (25%)
Preferred Qualifications
2 + years in event planning/coordination experience or equivalent
Healthcare background
Budget management experience
Medical device background
CVENT experience
Experience with expense reporting software such as Concur
Experience with project management software such as Monday.com
Travel booking experience
Experience working in a broad and highly matrixed organization
The base pay for this position is
$72,700.00 – $145,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
