Department Title: Undergrad Intern – Client Representative: Global Shareholder Services

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida or Rancho Cordova, California. The candidate must be able to commute into one of these offices 3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Requirements:

  • Internship training begins June; students must be available through Summer and Fall, with the possibility of extension
  • Flexible schedule between 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. local time, Monday–Friday
  • Training schedule: cross-site global class, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday
  • Hybrid work model: in‑office Tuesday–Thursday; optional remote Mondays and Fridays

Position Summary:

As a Client Representative Intern, you will:

An intern in this department can expect to learn:

Interns in GSS gain valuable exposure to real‑world financial operations and customer experience, including:

  • Communicating daily with financial advisors and shareholders while applying product, policy, and service‑related knowledge
  • Practicing professionalism, confidentiality, and customer‑focused problem solving
  • Understanding regulatory requirements and completing financial and non‑financial transactions accurately
  • Participating in comprehensive new‑hire training, ongoing development courses, peer mentoring, and regular coaching from your management team

  • Deliver professional, accurate, and confidential client interactions
  • Provide world‑class service using strong knowledge of processes and financial products
  • Execute financial and non‑financial transactions with precision and compliance

Ideal Qualifications:

We’re looking for students who are motivated, curious, and ready to learn. Successful candidates typically have:

  • Enrollment as an undergraduate student
  • Ability to work 15+ hours per week with at least 20 hours of weekly availability
  • Interest in financial services or a desire to learn about the investment management industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfort using computer systems and learning new technology

This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35-40 (dependent on state/location) hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $18 (dependent on location and function) USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
